RUNS ON YOUR PHONE · STAYS ON YOUR PHONE · STRAIGHT WITH YOU
Everyone built you an AI that agrees with everything. We built one that cares about the truth.
Verum is a thinking journal and a personal companion for exploring meaning and thought patterns. It runs entirely on your phone, no cloud, no servers. What you write at night is still only yours in the morning.
The problem
There's a yes-man in your pocket
The big language models learned to flatter, agree and please. And your most private moments? Shipped to someone else's server.
Sycophancy, built in
Ask if you're right, you get a yes. Push back, you get a more enthusiastic yes. It feels nice, and it's worth exactly nothing in the moment you need a real mirror.
Privacy ends at the cloud
Every confession, every fear, every 3am thought, sitting on a corporation's servers. With Verum there is no second party to the conversation. No server, no log, nothing to leak.
Engineered for engagement, not wellbeing
Most apps are rewarded for more screen time. Verum is built the other way around: it remembers you meant to call your brother, asks how it went, and nudges you back into your life.
The product
An honest, compassionate mirror. Neither cruel nor flattering.
Verum accepts the feeling and examines the thought with you. One good question instead of a lecture. And it knows when not to challenge: fresh grief gets presence, not pattern analysis.
Compassionate honesty
Focused anti-sycophancy training, mined from the model's real failures rather than invented examples. The simple test: tell it it's wrong and watch whether it folds. Verum holds its position, warmly and with reasons, and changes it only for a genuinely new argument.
A memory that's yours
The more you write, the more Verum knows you. It spots patterns between last month and today, asks about decisions you've made, and wakes up a little smarter about you every morning. And it all stays strictly on-device.
Privacy by physics
A compressed language model running on the phone's neural processor. The default is zero communication, and the product works perfectly in airplane mode. Not a promise in the terms of service. The physics of the product.
The method
Meaning first. Technology just serves it.
Verum is grounded in Viktor Frankl's logotherapy. He taught that the deepest human drive is the will to meaning. Even when a situation can't be changed, the freedom to choose your stance remains. Verum's tools are built around this core.
Exploring meaning and values
When emptiness arises, Verum doesn't rush to fix it. It helps map out what truly matters to you—in action, in creation, in love—and where your life actually meets that.
Paradoxical intention
When fighting a symptom is exactly what feeds it, Verum suggests dropping the fight and even inviting the fear in, lightly. Fear loses its grip when you stop running from it.
De-reflection
Whoever drowns in endless self-examination gets an invitation to look outward, toward a person or a task that needs them. Sometimes the way back to yourself runs through something bigger than you.
Reflecting thought patterns
Fourteen familiar patterns, from catastrophizing to mind reading. Verum reflects them as an assumption to examine, not a fact, with one good question. And a healthy feeling gets no analysis at all.
The push outward
Verum's success is measured in your life, not your screen time. It remembers what you wanted to do out in the world, asks how it went, and celebrates with you when it did.
The film
Verum, in eighty seconds
No people, no promises. One phone on a dark stage, and the whole idea.
Privacy
We don't promise. We prove.
In this category, trust is the product. So every layer of Verum is built to be verified, not believed.
Evidence, not promises
Our arguments end in measurement, not opinions
We built the evaluation system first, and the product second. 238 clinical-grade Hebrew scenarios, an automated judge calibrated against clinicians, and release gates that are not up for negotiation.
The scenario bank, by axis
Release gates
And in parallel, a clinical track: a feasibility pilot under a Helsinki ethics committee with a psychiatrist Co-PI, building an evidence file for European regulation (DiGA).
Straight questions, straight answers
What you will probably ask
When can I download Verum?
The initial launch is planned for Q2 2027, Israel first and iOS first. Waitlist members get early access before everyone else, and help shape the product.
How much will it cost?
A premium model: a one-time purchase, plus an optional subscription for model updates and new capabilities. No ads and no data selling, ever. Full pricing will be announced closer to launch — waitlist members hear first.
Is this psychological treatment?
No. Verum is a general wellness product for exploring meaning and thought patterns. It does not diagnose, does not treat, does not prevent any disease, and is not a substitute for a professional. It says so itself, transparently, to anyone who asks.
What happens when a user is in real distress?
The safety layer bypasses the model entirely. Deterministic detection triggers a fixed message with immediate help lines, with nothing composed by the model. And the calibration is delicate: a philosophical conversation about meaning is legitimate and is not escalated, while an indirect hint of distress gets a gentle, direct question.
Why Hebrew first?
Because Hebrew is the hard test. A model that catches the difference between "dying to watch it" and "wanting to die" clears a bar no competitor clears. And: the clinical pilot is Israeli, the first market is Israeli, and this linguistic asset is very hard to copy.
What about the battery?
Heavy memory processing runs only while the device is charging and cool, in short accumulating segments. The conversation itself runs on the neural processor, an order of magnitude more efficient than the GPU. You will not feel it in your pocket or your battery.
And if a user gets too attached?
Verum is built to push outward, not inward: session boundaries, encouragement to act in the world, and follow-ups on real steps the user took. If a user prefers Verum to people, Verum tells them, gently and sharply, that it is no substitute, and points one small step outside.
